Enler opening

The Enler Complex was opened yesterday by the First Minister Peter Robinson with the Lord Major and Naomi Long from the Alliance Party.  Landmark East were delighted with the opening event and the support that people have shown for the centre.

The complex has been developed by Landmark East and funded through DSD, DHSSPS and International Fund for Ireland and everyone is delighted with the landmark building that will be a huge benefit to the community of Ballybeen by delivering a day care centre for the elderly, as well as community and retail facilities.

In fact it has already become a hub for all types of community activities in Ballybeen and we are confident from the interest shown that the retail units will be filled quickly, bringing services and facilities to the local residents.

Maurice Kinkead, Chief Executive of East Belfast Partnership said: “Today’s official opening of the Enler Complex is another milestone in the regeneration of Ballybeen. It is a testament to local residents, politicians and the funding agencies, whose grit and determination, despite many obstacles, ensured the successful delivery of this superb social economy business that will provide retail facilities, services for all sections of the community and create local jobs.”
